An AI-generated world map marks someone's flight history, but cities like 'Melbourn,' 'Les Angeles,' and 'Hiroshima' are misplaced across continents. The erroneous labels reveal how the AI model relied on textual and pattern-matching associations, and not on geographic accuracy. For instance, "Angeles" seems to be properly understood as a major coastal city, but was then anchored at the wrong side; and the stray elements like the rollercoasters and the Shinkansen imply a training set flooded with travel and tourism imagery.
