Seven Teachers and an AI Baby Boom
This Facebook post shows seven pregnant teachers at an elementary school, followed by the same group holding identical babies. One may just notice the extra hands, the morphing arms, and a baby being weirdly held by two people at once to see that the pictures are AI-generated. Yet it still racks up thousands of likes, comments, and shares. Is this so because the story taps into a heartwarming, pro-family theme that one just wants to believe (without pausing to scrutinize visual details)? Is it out of a nostalgia for "community values" and an incredible but simple narrative, and due to the power of social media engagement algorithms that amplify anything that touches upon an emotional chord? Or do the "Likes" really pertain to the achievement of the "AI slop" regardless of any concern for authenticity?
