The Left-Handed Man
Left is not always right, one could say, as a seemingly simple prompt asking for a left-handed man yields an image of a man holding a pen in his right hand.
What does it tell us? Image-generating models are trained on visual datasets where right-handedness dominates (both culturally and statistically) and so the system reaches for what it knows best (and not what was asked).
This is just a reminder that these tools are great at reproducing frequency but not intention. The error just points to a structural blind spot, it is not random but rather patterned, and perhaps worth paying attention to if AI tools are to integrate "minority" structures.
